All are invited to the Diocesan Pilgrimage at the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes
in St. Malo, on August 13.

This special Marian celebration will be an opportunity for praise, healing and joy. The Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in St. Malo was a popular shrine even before the Archdiocese declared it a diocesan sanctuary and the site of its Annual Diocesan Pilgrimage.

  • A French Mass will be celebrated at 9 am

  • followed by a lunch (Tickets $10).

  • The English Mass will be celebrated at 11 am,

  • followed again by a lunch (Tickets $10).

  • At 2 pm, we invite you to Prayers for healing, the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the Rosary and Songs of Praise.

Evening of Prayer to end war in Ukraine

You are invited to participate in an evening of prayer for an end to the war in Ukraine hosted by Blessed Virgin Mary Parish (965 Boyd Avenue, Winnipeg)

It begins at 5:00 PM with Vespers for the feast of the Transfiguration and will conclude with a Moleben’ to the Mother of God commemorating the miraculous saving of the Pochaiv monastery (1675) and some refreshments.

Events Celebrating the 120th anniversary of Saint-Georges Parish

Everyone is invited to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Paroisse Saint-Georges! August 4-6!

  • On Friday, August 4 at 9 p.m., the film "Au bout des doigts" will be shown on the terrace of the Winnipeg River Heritage Museum.

  • On Saturday, August 5, at 7:30 p.m., Édouard Courcelles and Guy Lacroix will perform Old Time music on the Museum terrace.

  • Sunday, August 6, is the main event, with a thanksgiving Mass at 10:30 a.m., presided by Mgr Albert LeGatt. Following the Mass, a special blessing will take place at the cemetery in recognition of the parishioners who, since the founding of the parish, have worked to pass on the faith to successive generations. At noon, a meal will be served at the Parish Hall.

    Donations will be accepted.
    Those wishing to continue the festivities can visit the Winnipeg River Heritage Museum or take a historical walking tour organized by the Museum.

Holy Cross Parish is celebrating the Solemnity of Corpus Christi with a procession on Sunday, June 11th. The celebration will follow immediately after the 12:00 p.m. noon Mass (at approximately 1:00 p.m.).

Following Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, we will process through the neighbourhood on sidewalks (<2 kms), with prayer, hymns and reciting the Rosary in honor of Our Lord! Light refreshments will be available following the walk.

The webinar will be presented by Msgr. Philippe Bordeyne, President of the John Paul II Pontifical Theological Institute for the Science of Marriage and the Family, Rome, Italy.

It will be recorded for later broadcast and presented in French with simultaneous English translation.

Want to learn more about palliative care? The Archdiocese of Saint Boniface invites you to participate in Hope Horizons: A Toolkit for Catholic Parishes on Palliative Care, a program prepared by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Our faith in Jesus Christ has much to teach us about how to live well until the end of life. This program will help parishioners, caregivers and family members facing a terminal illness to learn more about palliative care. Throughout the four modules, learning and discussion sessions address topics such as understanding the dying process, death, discernment and decision-making at the end of life, accompaniment and the importance of building caring communities.


The free program in French will take place on Wednesday afternoons in the basement of the Cathedral (180 Cathedral Ave., Winnipeg).
Module 1: April 19, 3:00-5:00 p.m. - Module 2: April 26, 3:00-5:00 p.m. - Module 3: May 24, 3:00-5:00 p.m. - Module 4: May 31, 3:00-5:00 p.m.
