Some ecological frameworks, movements and projects appear to be in tension with upholding human dignity, and some human-centred frameworks, movements and projects appear to be in tension with care for the environment.
Dr. John Zucchi, professor of history at McGill University and head of the Catholic lay movement Communion & Liberation in Canada, guides us into Laudato si’ and the anthropological dimensions of Pope Francis’ encyclical on the environment and human dignity which shows that care for human dignity and the environment are not only fully compatible, but also intimately connected.
Presented by CAPP-Canada in partnership with the St. Monica Institute and the Newman Centre of McGill University.
*Workshops will feature a live translation of the speaker in French, as well as French language small group discussions.
