Saint John the Evangelist, more than any other of the Apostles, was wonderfully fascinated by the amazing, marvellous event of God becoming flesh and living among us. He is so fascinated with the Incarnation that there are very good reasons to call him the Apostle whose favourite holiday was Christmas. 

With the guidance & example of Saint John the Evangelist, the Christmas Apostle, this Retreat will dig into the core of the Christmas message and reflect on some of the common obstacles which need to be overcome in order to live Advent well and to share fully in the joy of Christmas.

Schedule of Events:

For those who wish, Saint John XXIII Church will be open throughout the afternoon until evening for communal and personal prayer. 

• Angelus Prayer at 12:00 noon

• MASS at 12:10 p.m.

• Eucharistic Adoration from 12:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

• Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 3:00 p.m.

• The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available on request from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Evening Itinerary 

• Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at 6:30 p.m.

• MASS at 7:00 p.m.

• RETREAT SESSION from 7:45 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
