One Million Children Praying the Rosary

1 Million Children Praying the Rosary

Year after year, this annual activity, organized by Aid to the Church in Need (ACNAED), has become an event not to be missed. On Tuesday, October 18, children and families around the world are called to pray for world peace by praying the Rosary.

And for good reason. Conflicts are multiplying through so-called traditional wars and through acts of terrorism. Despite the many calls for peace and dialogue, nothing seems to be happening. If I am asked: Should we pray? My answer is: More than ever.
— Marie-Claude Lalonde, National Director of ACN Canada.

For Catholics, this age-old prayer is a way of entering into hope. “Many citizens, even believers, experience a certain gloom in the face of conflicts, terrorism, and economic difficulties that are increasingly present in our world. To counter this feeling—and above all, because praying is a gesture of solidarity and a request for and with the victims of war and terrorism—more than ever, we must pray.”

There are a couple of ways to participate:

• By organizing an activity in your pastoral setting or school.

To obtain campaign material, submit your request in writing to Valérie Vulcain at: vv@acn-canada.org
or call 1-800-585-6333, ext. 227.

• By participating in the virtual prayer group (via Microsoft Teams) on Tuesday, October 18 at 6:00 p.m. (CST)
